What does paying wallet to wallet mean?
A direct crypto payment connects the customer's wallet with the merchant's wallet through a blockchain.
Two wallets and a network
The merchant presents a payment request. The customer reviews it in their wallet and authorizes the transaction. The network processes the transaction and, if it completes, the smart contract sends the amount to the merchant's address and the fee to Waynance.
Control of funds
In a non-custodial model, each holder is responsible for their own wallet and keys. The availability of networks, assets and features depends on the implementation.
Privacy and traceability
A direct payment can be designed without Waynance requesting the payer's identity, but transactions are usually recorded on the blockchain. This may allow them to be analyzed or traced. Legal requirements may also apply depending on the service and the jurisdiction.
